After growing up in Delaware all my life (Dover/Hartly area), I went off to a much bigger city in Charlotte, North Carolina to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Management Accounting. After graduating in 2016 at the top of my class, I soon after joined the team at a local CPA firm. While starting as a young staff accountant, I also started an online program at Wilmington University to obtain my Masters Degree in Accounting. After finishing my masters degree in 2017, my sights were set on working my way up in the local CPA firm. I eventually became the Tax Compliance Supervisor to ensure business clients were following all applicable tax laws. Although that title didn't last long, a more rewarding opportunity presented itself and I was able to start overseeing the business entity department as a first reviewer supervisor to the staff accountants with the official title of "Business Entity Leader." Once I obtained my Certified Public Accountant license in January 2023, I officially took over the business department as the Business Entity Supervisor. Although all my titles are business related, I have always helped out the individual income tax department. I pride myself on my attention to detail. I will treat your returns or accounting records like they are my own and keep you in compliance with recent standards, whatever they may be at the time. I recently left the local CPA firm I have worked at for 6.5+ years and started working at a semi-local firm (right over the line in Pennsylvania) and currently have no plans to leave so this is my part-time "gig" as I find myself individually as a CPA - but this won't stop me from treating it like my full-time job.
